Title: Penn 349
Post by: john2244 on October 28, 2013, 11:56:47 PM
Getting some 349's ready to fish.  All have 2.3 gears and Newell spools.  Got lucky and a friend sold me one of his Tiburon 349 frames the other day.
Also, note Lee's handle ARM on one of the reels.

Nice John, love that blue on red. Maybe you could get white rings and make that baby a patriotic reel. ;)

Yes they are, they just need to be a little thicker.

The next batch will be .188".

John, Thanks for the pictures of your reels. I always enjoy seeing the great reels you have. I never really appreciated conventionals  until I found this site. I had used some for bottom fishing but never owned many. I hope you fill your limit! If I can ever help you with anything give me a shout.

I believe that will be approximately the same thickness as Alan's handle wrenches.  Perfect!
