Don't judge a book by its cover, open that baby up and let's see it.
A copy of 3-4 differant reels in one, made in the Land of roast pork & Fried Rice or Char Su & Chow Fan. (China)

Yes, I know its made in China. I have bought some roller rods from this same person and I like them.
It comes with a two year warranty, no questions asked. They Claim to have it made to their specifications and I think it can be had for about $300. Its a 50 wide 2 speed.
I thought it would be a challenge to get one and try to Blow it up!

That one looks a little different Wallace. I was just toying with this idea.
I've been thinking about it and if you wanted to try and tear it p straight 130 mono and drop a 3lb bluefish beside the pier
I would love to see this reel opened up to see how well (or not) is designed and built.
if you notice the roller below the drag lever(2nd pic)
its the same as the one at downrigger shop.
I have decided not to persue this. I spent 1200 on an Everol 14 instead.
Good luck with this.
After buying that reel I couldn't afford the line on it.
Mike
Your supposed to use rope not line ;D
A sailor calls a rope a line. ;) Bob

I have 3 lbs of Ande #50. Is that enough?
Mike
SH, you don't cast that everol from the beach do you? ???
I drop my bait it in the Kayak and paddle it out 100 yards. If you want to call that casting. :P
That's how most land based shark fishing is done.

If your spooling a 4/0. it might be. This reel holds 1000 yards of 130lb test. ;)
I think straight 275 coated cable should be good
