Title: Question about using Alan's bearing packer..
Post by: basenjib123 on November 09, 2013, 10:51:53 PM
Do I need to worry about how much downward force is being applied when loading the bearings?  I mean, you do have to push down thus "pinning" the bearing down, right?  I don't want to damage the races.  Hope this question makes sense.

I push down good enough to prevent the grease gun from lifting when squeezing the trigger.  as long as you have it in the packer correctly you should be fine.
I love when it shoots out the retainer, so I know it's through all the way.
Best of luck,
Dom
