I would like to thank you for this sight and the good info. and tutorials. Without it I would never attempt to service my reels on my own. I have recently opened up a Titus 50 GW II and using the tutorial for the 50 silver as a guide, as these reels are basically the same,and found that there was very little grease anywhere in the reel. corosion was already rearing it's ugly head even though the reel had only been used twice. The drag washer was not like any other I had seen. There was a material which looked like a black canvas on the spool side of the drag washer, not a stainless plate as was shown in your tutorial. The drag washer was very thin carbon fiber. My question; can this drag system be changed out with the one for the silver 50?
call okuma at 800-466-5862 and see if they have a carbon fiber upgrade for this reel. i'll bet they do!
