Title: Penn International 20
Post by: john2244 on November 23, 2013, 10:55:56 PM
I am getting some reels ready for a trip next month and thought I would show
some things that can be done to a Penn International 20.

This first picture is a stock Penn 20.

This picture is a Penn 20 that has been 2 speeded, a heavy base has been added, and an upgraded handle.  Notice the added
spacing plate that has been added to the right side to allow extra room for the 2 speed gears.

The last picture is again a Penn 20 with a Baker frame.  This reel has been 2 speeded, blueprinted, has upgraded bearings, a sleeve,
upgraded handle, and a 1.2:1 low gear installed.

All together.

Very nice, John.  Now I'm seriously thinking of contacting Cal's to have mine converted.
Thanks for the photos.

John, I'm glad I'm not a fish when you show up at the boat.  ;D  Very nice reels!   Bob
