Has anyone seen or know the history of these weird handles?

Thanks, Michael
The designer must have been drinking when he came up with that, using it would be like putting your hand in a blender :-\.
It is the second I've seen, the first was on an old 45/4600 I bought a few years ago, I laughed and thought it was a one-off oddity. Maybe I could put 4 of Alan's grips on it, a 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 & 6/0 and use the one that suits the size of the fish. ;D

I noticed it was a Gatorgrip so I wrote and asked them about it, they replied
They are still available part number GG-r-10 $14.00
You can order them over the phone.
Thanks

Thanks Jimbippy - Good to know they are after market parts and not a brief experiment by ABU. I don't think I will need another one though, I can't see any advantage in having four grips, single grip power handles seem to work well on my round ABUs, or two on the small low profile revos.
