Title: 4.8:1 Penn FTH25N
Post by: Keta on December 12, 2013, 02:40:54 AM
I got the 4.8:1 gear set today and installed it in my Fathom 25N.  The parts fit like factory parts and the reel is smooth.  The gears are first class, thank you again Alan.  I'll try to get some photos.

It is a quick and easy "upgrade".  Remove the handle and star, take out the 3 side plate screws and pop of plate, pull gears out (don't loose the yoke springs), put new gears in, drop greased drag parts in place and reassemble.  It took me 20 minutes because I had a cat "helping" me.
