Title: Cheap bearings from China
Post by: eSReels on December 12, 2013, 12:10:13 PM
Hi guys,

I bought a few ABEC 7 ceramic hybrid bearings from a seller in China.
Initially, I was skeptical about the quality but when I tested on an old Daiwa DT-X I couldn't tell the difference between much more expensive Boca bearings.
Time may reveal the truth  but has anyone used these 'cheap' bearings? What's your thoughts?

corrosion resistance is something you won't know until they corrode.  the designs and tolerances can be the same whether the bearing is cheap or expensive.  it's the corrosion resistance that you have to look at, and that is determined by the quality of the materials used.

Yes, that's what I'm not sure about - corrosion resistance.
Time will tell, I guess. I will be rough on my TD-X and will check how they perform.
In the meantime, I'd like to hear from people who used these bearings.
