Title: Shimano Roller Clutch Bearing

Just wondering if you guys think this needs to be replaced. I noticed some wear on the outside. All the rollers seem to move just fine though...

Unless you see corrosion on the rollers, it's difficult to tell from looking at them if they need replaced or not. Clean them up as good as possible, lightly oil them with a q-tip dipped in oil,  and put them back. Try to turn the handle backwards during several rotations. If it grabs and never slips, then it's working and probably is fine. The other thing you need to know is if it's smooth. Sometimes a rough cranking reel can be traced to the AR clutch. If you see any pitting at all on the rollers or the sleeve, then it probably needs replaced to be smooth. I have had a few that looked fine, but after checking and replacing everything else that can make a reel feel rough, I replaced the clutch and sleeve and it was smooth as butter after that.
