Title: 112H Used Main Gear
Post by: maxpowers on January 11, 2014, 05:35:17 AM
I just received 2 112H main gears of ebay.  It was an as-is sales so I was kinda leery but at $10 a pop plus shipping I was willing to try.  I saw the pictures posted and they looked like steel but I wasn't sure.  Seller assured me they were steel.  Sure enough they were but had turned black but no rust.  Took out the high speed 5:1 BP's gear and pinion and matched it back with the original pinion and the reel is butter smooth.  Really liking it now as the lower gearing is perfect for this reel as a live bait set up or bottom fishing.  There are 2 still available when I bought if anyone is interested.

I really like the steel gears too Max. Especially in the bigger Senators. They are tough as nails! >:(
