A customer has been interested in upgrading his gear sleeve .whats the cost on a new gear sleeve?pinion?main? This reel will see land based shark fishing.

The 9/0 uses the same gear sleeve as a 114h. Alan Tani has them for 30.00 + shipping. I think shipping is a buck. Alan Chui has Stainless gear sets for sale. Look in the Black Pearl section here. I have some of his gear sets and they are the best out there. They are helical cut so the Penn pinion won't work. Email or PM Alan Tani for the sleeve. He also sells a kit with a stainless steel dog and under gear washer. Penn Parts and smooth drag carry the Pro Challenger (Black Pearl) gears. Or you can buy them from Alan Chui. The SS main and Pinion from Black Pearl are like $75 I think. It is money well spent if you are Sharking. I have 8 sets! All with ss Sleeves. ;) This is them.
