Title: Problem with dhgate reel huihuang bt20
Post by: LucasGeneau on January 28, 2014, 07:55:25 PM
I was fishing from a boat in the river when a good size fish tooked me line. I was fighting the fish when it jumped and my huihuang reel drag sistema, wich isnt smooth, suddenly stoped. I Heard a bump and my one piece trolling rod trasformed onto a 2 piece rod. So the leson is verify your reels before fishing and dont buy cheap stuff!

Maybe it was a Friday rod that broke.
Try the others, nothing to lose ;)

Sorry to hear about your rod Lucas.  Many of us perform a post-purchase service (to grease our drags) before we use our reels even if it's new.  Maybe you could do a tutorial on it.

I hope you get a nice rod to replace that broken one, and that you catch that good size fish.

Check if the reel is toast and if not replace the drag washers with carbonfiber ones assorted with a teflon base grease (Cal's or Shimano).
The rod is pretty much toast. You should get a solid blanked one.
From what I can see the reel is somewhat decent.
