Title: Another Big Cobia bites the dust
Post by: Shark Hunter on January 29, 2014, 12:27:27 AM
This Cobia had to go at least 60 pounds +.  It was almost caught in Australia. Look how the bite marks went about 2 inches above the actual bite, then Chomp! Looks like it was cut with a knife! Tiger Shark I bet.

Great pic - thanks for sharing.
Saw what would've been a 50lb+ kingie (YT) taken just like that two weeks ago in the western Bay of Plenty (here in NZ).
The fisho had him nearly to the wharf when...
Didn't get a good look at the shark, but likely a solid bronzie.
There's also a big female white that visits every year to pup.
Talk was that she bit an 8ft bronzie in half while it was being reeled to a boat.
Hit it from underneath apparently and lifted it out of the water.
The guys packed up and went home after that ;) ;D
Cheers, Justin
