Wow it is hard to believe but this is where I live. 1"-3" of snow locally. And they say we are in a global warming. I know alot of you guys get snow every year, but for us it just doesnt happen.

You are in Far North Florida. About 55 in Daytona.
Chris, this is the result of global warming. Severe temp/climate swings.
Bob
Wow.
Time to buy a Snow Blower while they are cheap
NW Florida is a ghost town right now I-10 is closed from Pensacola all the way to Holmes County which is about 100 miles east of us. And everything is closed.

What a bunch of wusses in Fla. ;) 1 to 2 inches of snow wouldn't even slow the commute up north. ;D Dominick
I had to shovel a foot out of the driveway Saturday. We only got a couple inches, but it drifted the way my driveway is situated. It was two feet at the end of the driveway where they plowed. Its going to be a long winter. Its been less than 5 degrees every morning so far this week. Bring It! 8)
I bet May is looking better and better to you everyday
Moving South would be nicer! ;)
Weird. Rain here maybe its 60 but news said to expect it to be in mid upper 80s for at least the next 2 weeks with littlt chance for fronts to get here. Ill trade you? After 54 years of this sticky hot mess I'm sick of SW Fl.
SW Florida, You have the 10,000 islands why would you want to leave that.

It's not the snow, it's the ice. The snow hardly sticks, if at all; look at the pictures. We don't have equipment to salt or sand the roads so if they freeze over they're impassable. So sure, one to two inches of snow, no big deal. A nice coating of ice? That's another story, wherever you are.

The fishing is poor, don't believe everything your read or hear I guess. Sleepy little towns turned into miles of half empty condo's. Roads full of violent drivers from the northeast. (sorry no offense meant) Those same folks pilot their boats the same as their car's. Scalping the flats, turning over my kayak, cutting through your lines as they flip you the bird. Two winters down they call themselves guides and curse you for destroying their livelihood if your already sitting on a spot before they arrive. Tournaments have ravaged local fish. Violence in Boca Grande Pass against folks who have fished freely in a free country for a century, yet its o.k. to kill huge tarpon with poor handling for $$. Huge 'Dead Sea' out of Naples devoid of O2, look at it on google earth. Over development unchecked by business friendly state govt. that openly closed the state's dept. of environmental protection and placed water protection under the dept. of transportation to fast track permits for developers. Gill netting is returning. A governor who's first act was to announce he wants to sell off all state parks and wetland protective buffer areas to the highest bidder to pump up employment. All that makes for a pretty lousy place to live and really hard to find a peaceful place to fish.
Wow! I'll stick to the Gulf. There are arrogant boaters, just like drivers. Unless he is in a giant Cruiser or something, If he sucks up my line, hopefully he will be going slow and wrap my 130lb test around his prop, when he gets to the cable leader, he will be done.
I try to be courteous to all fishermen. ;D

Spectra is good on prop shafts too.
Man didnt realize it is like that down there. I have always heard such great repose to the fishery down there and now this. It is like alot of our beaches up here. Growing up we would go to Panama City and St. George Island and it was always wide open beaches with beautiful scenary. Now all for the sake of a measily dollar, the beaches are all being overran by Condos and now they are even in talks about starting to build Casinos on the water fronts here in northern florida. Every place you used to fish is being taken up as so called Private property becouse it belongs to the resort. So I fell you there. Wow what is this state coming to. Forget the men and women that broke their backs making this state the mecca it is today, let just help all these condos make more money and destroy our pristine landskape in the process. OK I am done ranting. ;)
