Title: Changing the Gear Ratio on a Penn 16s
Post by: gstours on February 17, 2014, 06:10:35 AM
Hello all out there; does anybody know if the high gear on the penn internat 16s can be changes with other gears to 3.5 or 4 to 1 gear ratio in high gear.... the factory 4.5 hi gear is too high for the types of bottom fishing I do.......big baits, big tides, make cranking hard......

Just though someone might have done this in the past....the 12 single speed gear is 4-1 and the 20single speed gear is 3,5 I think....

   thanks for some ideas.    gstours.....

I'd check with Cal Sheets at Cal's 2 speed. If anybody will know, he will.
