Title: Is it possible to upgrade a standard Avet to Raptor version?
Post by: sundaytrucka on February 18, 2014, 03:52:22 AM
I am not looking to do so, and I have never looked at the schematics for a raptor, but was wondering if it is possible.

If I bought an MXL for example, single speed version, could I buy the raptor parts for the left side drag plate and spool shaft, and whatever may be needed....Would it be possible?

Seems straight forward enough if the non-raptor left side plate has clearance.

Thanks for any input.

Scott at Avet told me no.

Ok. Thanks for the heads up.

Nice to dream though.

Yup, I wanted to convert my MXJ and one of my JX reels.
