Just bought a 9/0 and I was wondering what upgrades and hot roding I can do to it. Also want to know if they make a frame kit for this reel. Its the older usa made ones. My last question is there is a lot of build up and pitting in the reels crome. Whats your guys input on painting it or powder coating or should I take it off and send it to be recromed?
There is an Aluminum half frame Available here. Stainless Sleeve from Alan. Drag upgrades from Bryan. Do a little looking in the Senator Section. As Far as the Chrome, polish it up the best you can. You can soak it in Vinegar to remove some serious Crud before Hand. I use Turtle Wax Chrome polish or Mothers Mag Wheel Polish. There are powder coating services as well.
