First Id like to say thanks Alan for getting this great site going. Its helped me crack open the gear cases of many of my reels and further understand how the work.

On with the pictures....

#150 class bluefin, caught on a triton 50... one of 9 we caught before calling it quits due to aching backs and sore arms the day.

If you enjoy combat fishing ,try fishing off new jersey. 30 people on the rail on 80 ft boats. No braid allowed all mono .You hook-up an run to the bow or stern to land your fish.I use a old school SABER rod 7FT,an a ex4/0 rigged with 80 mono. you can find a wide array of fish in the canyons, yellow fin, long fin , black fin,big eye, blue fin, swordfish, tile fish on the bottom. you never know what is in the school. I have caught sword fish in a shool of tuna.  Oh an we only fish one side of the boat.
