Title: Fin-Nor Reels.....Any info on quality, drags, etc...?
Post by: EL JEFE on December 20, 2010, 11:18:59 PM
Interested to know if anyone has ever used these reels, repaired, serviced, etc....

Thoughts of the OFC series (16, 20, etc...)?
Thanks

answered my own questions.......................found Alan's write-up on the 16.  Too bad it has the same anti-reverse pawl characteristics as the Saltist.

Alan,

What is the material that the original OFC16 drag washers were made of? Okuma Convectors sold in this part of the world (probably older models) have the same type of washers. I just hate them! Just wanted to know what its called.

Thanks!

Ijlal, switch out them washers to HT-100s or Carbontex.  You will not be disappointed.
