Hey guys , reel question. I have a shimano Antares with a bad roller bearing . There is a plastic backing plate that I can't seem to get to release. Can someone pleeese help me , for the life of me I can't get the bearing out

Hey Charlie,

I am sure I know what you are referring to, but would prefer to see a photo if you could post one. The backing plate you refer to has loctite on it. You would need to press it out of the housing with the bearing in situ. Once removed, you can press the bearing out using a 10mm socket, and a drill press.
