I know shimano offered a power handle for the original 400 calcutta but I have not seen one offered for the 400 TE.If you want to get rid of the double paddle handle and get a nice handle for the 400 TE,the tekota 500 and the trinidad 12 handle both fit.the trinidad handle is round & the tekota is oblong & a little cheaper.Neither of the handles seem to hinder the reel or pop it into gear while casting.
Now if i could find a longer,bigger knob handle for my speedmaster levelwind I would be set.
when get back, i'll check to see if these will work.

I have it on my reel already.I put the trinidad handle on mine & the tekota handle on my friends-the trinidad handle was out of stock so I got him that one.either one fits,guess it depends if you prefer the round trini handle or the oblong tekota style.
