Any updates to these??  I built up a BD760XH as a popping rod and it felt great with 25# of drag slipping off of the reel!  Are they planning any 500gr jigging blanks or just the lighter stuff?

They are getting ready to come out.  They will have a 400g - 500g jigger in 5'6" and I think a 6' blank.  And they are coming out with a popping rod to almost match the one that you built but it will be a 2 piece butt joint.  And it will be in a 8' and 8'6".

Doh, 8'6" is way too long for bigger fish!!  Guys are starting to look for 7' popping rods now with the big BFT around!  7'6" is around the max I would go, so I will prob cut down the 8' version.  Good news on the 400 and 500gr rods though!!
