Title: hello and a problem????

penn 330 lever drags,the reel handles spin in reverse when drag is pulled?

you can hold the handle and drag will release line as soon as you let go of the handle,it will start spinning in reverse?


got the reels apart but not sure i see anything wrong internally...

look at the right side plate.  find the four bridge screws in the middle of the right side plate.  there is one that is on the lower left.  it's the screw that holds the dog in place.  loosen it by a quarter turn.  if that does not work, try another quarter turn.  if it still does not work.  remove the side plate and find the anti-reverse dog and add a few drops of oil. it should start to click.  check out the gti post for a full breakdown.  please let me know how you do.  thanks!  alan

i took everything apart and the brass gear on the handle shaft spins..part # 98 330ld,not sure it is suppose to do this?the dogs lock it down but its like it is stripped out...

bob, the drive shaft (gear sleeve) is part #98-320.  is the top rounded off?  is that why the handle is turning backwards?  can you e-mail a picture to me?  alan
