Title: Clarification about the two businesses Scott's Bait & Tackle and MysticParts.com
Post by: mizmo67 on April 21, 2017, 07:26:18 PM
There is currently some confusion online about our business status...quite a few people misunderstood and thought we'd closed up for good.

Scott's Bait & Tackle: The bait and tackle shop closed in December 2016 with intent to NOT reopen. Scott was determined to sell it over the winter, which did not happen. It reopened on March 1st of 2017 and will remain in business until we find a new owner for it.

The bait shop is still open...but it is for sale!

WHAT WE ARE NOT SELLING IS THE PARTS BUSINESS!
MysticParts.com (Formerly PennParts.com): The parts dept. is currently still located in the bait shop building at 945 Radio Road.
We will be moving it to 965 Radio sometime later this year.
This is what we want to semi-retire into..getting Scott down to a normal 40hr work week instead of working two businesses for 70-80hrs a week.

PennParts.com is converting slowly to be under Mystic Reel Parts LLC instead of being under the tackle shop name. We will be phasing out PennParts.com in favor of MysticParts.com
We've are doing the banking, business registration, sales tax cert and mercantile licensing for it already, so it's moving right along!

In May the online stores will change!
store.scottsbt.com will be for the bait shop
and MysticParts.com will become it's own site instead of a quick link to the parts department in store.scottsbt.com

Once I do that...I will have the fun of hunting through the forums to fix all the links so that they go to the correct site! And having the search engines re-crawled...and the advertising redone...the list goes on.

There will be a link in store.scottsbt.com to MysticParts.com once that split occurs, so no worries if you forget to bookmark it properly.

*snort*

No, we really can't :)

Not planning to go anywhere and hoping that one or two of our kids will keep PennParts.com going long after we are gone!

Wow, 70-80 hours a week is a lot of hours. My hat's off to you and Scott and hopefully a serious buyer will soon take the bait shop off your hands.

....and like Dom said, you can run but you can't hide.  ;) ;)
