Title: Penn Spinfisher V 7500 rotor question
Post by: dskoog87 on May 15, 2018, 05:54:40 PM
Recently the rotor on my Spinfisher V 7500 has started rotating backwards about 1/4" after I stop reeling. It does it every single time and it always rotates backwards the same distance. Everything else on the reel seems to be functioning correctly. I took it apart to look at the anti-reverse clutch, but it looks fine to me (no sand/corrosion etc.). Has anyone ever experienced this before and know what the cause/fix may be?

Thanks.

I would first say to check the rotor nut but you have taken care of that. The clutch bearing may be worn a bit or too much grease. If the reel is well used I would replace the clutch bearing and inner sleeve.
