Title: 5500c (not-c3) vs 5500sx
Post by: Woody213 on July 14, 2018, 06:00:58 AM
I have both of these reels and love them both. I was wondering what the difference is between them? I picked up the SX new a few years ago when I got back into fishing and I got a good deal on the C at a flea market.

Hi Woody, world of difference, One was made in sweden by skilled craftsman, the other taiwan or indo-china.

Yep! The 5500C is a great reel, well designed and manufactured. With proper maintenance it will last your lifetime and probably longer.

The S, SX, and STX reels that I've seen are not in the same league, to put it politely.
