Hi guys!
I just bought an Avet LX 6.0 and the clicker is almost silent.
I was looking to the forums and I found this discussion http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=6097 tried to clean the grease with WD40, cleaned it but no success, the clicker is still the same (hard to engage/disengage, and almost silent).
When opening the reels the clicker seems in perfect condition as well as the plastic gear and also the springs are tight.
Then I looked at this tread https://www.bdoutdoors.com/forums/threads/sxj-clicker-problem.626434/ where there is a post that quotes: "Open up the reel as described by others and remove the nylon washer thats installed. Makes engaging and disengaging easier and also increases the sound."
I found also another video on youtube which describes how to cut the springs to make the sound louder.
What do you suggest I do guys?
Thanks,
L.
here should be a black plastic collar that holds the clicker button. often replacing that collar does the trick. you can order one from avet.
Thank you Alan!
So I should not remove it but replace it!
When can I order one?

It is part number 67 am I right?

Avet has a great online ordering system. Order from them.
When I fished on the west coast, my clickers were rarely used. Off Florida every trip. My LX clickers are super silent. I first tried replacing all the springs, but that did not help much. It's the black liner as noted above that needs to be replaced. I noticed that there are double options as to parts for the lx clicker assemblies. Which parts should I order for the loudest clicker?

Should I order the 02-A or the 02-B ?
Does the G-2 version of the reel have an improved clicker?
Thanks for replying.
