Title: Stella 10000 sw 2008
Post by: jacktrevally on November 03, 2018, 07:48:15 AM
Hello
I have the stella 10000sw. When I turn the handle it makes a clicking sound like a rachet. The reel is still in anti reverse though.

Your thoughts please

Remove the spool and then the rotor to isolate where the noise is coming from.

from my experience the noise is coming for 99pct out of the pinion bearing (DMS 9x17x5)
Also check the bearing under the pinion (DMS 7x11x3).

That you very much guys. I will disassemble the reel this weekend. I was thinking the bail arm mechanism lock.

I have isolated the problem and it is the bail arm lock mechnism which is making that sound. The wire which has a Z form loaded with the spring.

Hiw do you sold that problem please. I know from old reels you need to bend the Z to 90 degrees. Is that so on the stella?
