Title: Newbie needs help with Mitchell 300A rotor head
Post by: ljermontov on May 07, 2019, 07:29:22 PM
Among my reels I have a Mitchell 300 A (french not taiwanese) from 1987. body with all gears and axle.
I would like to buy  rotor head for it and complete it.
On the internet I found red line rotor head( currently sold out)
and white line rotor head.Which one should I buy, white looks better to me ,will it fit?Are there any shims which go between rotor head and body?

There is a provision for a shim or shims between the rotor and the body.  You may or may not need them.  Only way to know is to assemble the reel, try it out & see if a shim or shim are needed,
