Title: Bridge City 300yd
Post by: nelz on June 21, 2019, 03:22:25 AM
I can't find any info on this 300 Bridge City. It has a picture plate and round resin knob handle. I'm only finding plain sideplates, and wood or torpedo style knobs. Anybody know about this release?

Posted pics on the 105 Bridge City thread... https://alantani.com/index.php?topic=17591.0

The 300yd is always tougher to find than the 250yd bridge city. The oil port in the bell shaped knob only happened one year..... 1938 if I remember correctly

Nice find !!

Thanks Ted. Actually when I bought it, it was so full of muck all over that I thought I had a pre-war Long Beach. After cleaning it I saw the name and the picture on the plate. It's in pretty rough shape, chipped plates, screw broken off in a cross-bar, spool was so corroded that there's no chrome left on it after cleaning.

Internally it's perfect though, super smooth, even has a big steel pinion, very "torky". But boy did it take alot to clean the hardened grease, it was nasty!

So I wonder if any other Bridge City's have the picture plate?
