Title: 80lb shark rod
Post by: Lowprofile on July 16, 2019, 11:30:49 PM
while In japan I stocked up on a bunch of blanks for tuna/shark fishing. Finally got a place established I can wrap and been knocking out the majority of them in different styles (I posted some of the pier, rail rods here). My buddy back in Florida hit me up and said he found a cherry 10/0 and needs a badass rod for it. Wants a gimbal, about 7ftand blue/green colors....

Sure man.

So this is what I came up with. 7'2" 80lb glass rod. Again the tip is missing because nobody carries silver! So I did the mock up in black and finished it off in silver just so it would match the Varmac RS-4 seat. I'll check one more place then order it, glue it on and ship her off. It's getting really hard to buy local when online is a one stop shop.

Blue/green? It looks black & pink to me. Nice though.             Rudy

What size tube for the tip? I might have something that would work.

18 and 12 ring. I ordered one though so no worries.
