Hello ..I'm a reel repair guy located in l.a(lower Alabama)...I have rebuilt a talica 12 2speed.....new bearings anti reverse....gears etc....my problem is. Everything works when reel is apart but as soon as I put reel together anti reverse doesn't work. Remove screws take apart it works..I'm at Whit's end....I took it all back apart reassembled and still no anti reverse....any help would b greatly appreciated
When assembling the reel, you need to make sure that the pressure plate on the spool is well seated on the square of the pinion gears. This isn't one of the things I hate about servicing this reel because it is sometimes difficult to know if the spool is seated well in the pinion gear or not due to the anti-reverse assembly.
