We are setting up another date, Wednesday, November 27, 2019, day before Thanksgiving. We're not chartering the whole boat but I will make the reservations.

Thanks Alan. I have enough rods I believe, reels are where I am short so far. I need to look through my stash of rebuilt Penns for some up to the challenge. I have a lot of Beachmasters, but I am not sure if they are up to catching a decent sized ling or not, none are currently lined. I usually use Jiggy's [with Tib frames and CC plates] and have two of those race ready.

i have a set of four of the penn 320 gt2's that are loaded with braid. they are matched up with 8 foot calstar graphiters. they will work perfectly for your friends. let's just go with those. it will be quick and easy.

went out on the hulicat yesterday. fishing was brutally slow. crabbing is still good. mike cabanas wants me to ping him on tuesday to remind him to save 17 spots on the bow for us. he says that will be the best place for us. there will be 17 of us, and 14 other random sign ups. he wants to put those people in the back, where the tangles are worse. mike says to try to arrive early, fish with 1 pound weights if possible to minimize tangles.
Alan, can I trouble you to bring a couple of rods for my brother and nephew?

Unfortunately, I can't make the 14th.
Gonna go the 11th.
Mother nature kept us off the water today and gave the fish and crab a pass from us thanking them for their donation to our health.
I would love to get a trip in before the commercials snatch up all the crab.
HuliCat has spots open December 11.
