Title: Pumpkin season
Post by: Three se7ens on October 12, 2019, 08:49:53 PM
Its that time of the year the bull redfish start showing up in good numbers.  So me and a couple of friends hit up a spot we heard about hoping to find some giants.  And it did not disappoint.  I landed this one, and one more about this size was landed by one of the other guys.  My measuring board only goes to 30", and I couldnt get to my tape to measure it.  Kevin's measured at 37", and mine was somewhere around that, maybe a little closer to 40"

One thing thats really amazing to me is the color.  Most of the redfish I catch are in clean, green water near the ocean, and are predominately silver.  Very little of the orange you see here.  The orange seems to go along with fish from dirty water, and deep water.  This big girl was caught in about 35' of water, right on the bottom.
