Thank you for posting the schematic/parts list for the Mitchell 300 from 1969.

Just wanted to point out that the numbers that are in parenthesis on the parts list are the old (pre-1969) part numbers.  The older part numbers were all changed to 5-digit numbers in 1967.
 
Also, note the two sets of spools shown.  The upper set are the newer model spools (9121, 9122), with the 3-lobed Drag Adjusting Knob (81001) and Teflon Drag Washer (81003). On the newer designed spools the Teflon Drag Washers go in the front of the spool, under the Drag Spring (81002).

The bottom pair of spools shown are the older model (9101, 9102) with 4-lobed Drag Adjusting Knobs (81158). The older model spools also had Teflon washers but they were called Teflon Base Washers (130) and were installed at the bottom of the spool, between the Spindle (81006) and the Spool Shell (3-small, 4-large) on both capacity spools.
