Hope I'm doing this correctly.  Think I caught the bug. Just picked up this narrowed 500 at a local swap for 20 bucks.

Picked up the converted squidder from a BD member.  These accuplates are so damn cool!

If you think those Accuplates are so cool wait till you get a look at the Cortez Conversions products here.      Rudy                          ps how about logging into the welcome section and introduce yourself and tell us a little about yourself & fishing interests.  Nice reels.

You did good on the 501. Just the spool is worth $20

Nice reels, I love the Squidders.
Built an XN with the help of Randy Pauly,  Alan Chui, and the input of many of the Ohana.
Also picked up a Accurate Squidder Magnum from Randy that is quite the beauty.
