Post by: graywolf on December 13, 2019, 11:28:07 PM
I fish at Gulf of Mexico and average fish 50-90 pounds
November and December you run into over 100 pounders
I don't like big heavy reels, have Penn VIX 50 already,I was thinking to get ATD6 because of size
Am I thinking right or like tackle ho! ::)
any input will be great,thanks

i still have an ATD 6 (and a 12, 30 and 50).  out of the box, they need cam work, but are solid reels.  just really expensive!!!!!!

graywolf,

Since this is a Accurate board I won't bring up other reels you may want to look at out of respect of the manufacture.

I think Mr. Tani stated it pretty well. Cal Sheets, a reel tuner and mod expert could help you get just about anything you want out of the ADT's but this will cost you some more money.

You may wan't to ask this question in another forum/board on this website and see if others may have other things you may want to look into.

accurate doesn't pay me to have a board here.  nor does daiwa, shimano, penn or anyone.  not even smoothdrag or mystic parts.  actually, there are time when i feel like i should be paying dawn and mo just for checking in.  so don't feel like the discussion is restricted at all.  it's not.
