What # braid do you have backing your 12 and 16 size two speed reels? What # top shots to do fish on them?

It kind of depends on which 12 and 16 sized 2-speed reel.

Steve Carson has pointed out on BD, that the heavy duty 2-speed 16 (picture Okuma Makairas and Penn Internationals) have a higher capacity for heavier line, than say medium duty 2-speed 15 (picture Okuma Andros and Penn Torques), and on down to lighter duty 2-speed 15/16 (Penn Fathoms and Squalls).  And the same can be repeated for the 12 size 2-speeds.

I have to use 50# braid on my 2 speed Omoto 12 (bought on a lark when I low-balled an online seller), to have enough line to use for school tuna with short 30-40# topshots.  You can fish 80-100# with 80-100# topshots on a 2-speed Accurate ATD 12, for cow tuna.
