I recently got on mitchell 300 kick and have 4 version 6's.I guess I am partial to these because I was born in 1963 and they are so simple to work on.
Anyhow I mounted my 1st 300 on a Fenwick Eagle rod (med-fast 6"6") I found a deal after Christmas at a local sporting goods shop for $32,now I wish I had got another.I have only fished with it in my pond with live bait catching bream and crappie so far.The rod is so sensitive and I can't wait to bass fish with it,I caught this bream today he felt like a whale...

Nice rod & reel pairing. Really splendid coloration on that bluegill, too!

Glad your Mitchell 300s are going strong. You are lucky, where I live you need to drill a hole in the ice to catch one of those! :D
