Need an opinion from someone who's familiar with the red Quick Juniors. Do you think this is a repaint? This reel has been on ebay for quite a while. Actually it's a Herter's 109 which are the same reels.
Yes, Chester, that is clearly obvious. There's a speck of red on the tag, over spray on the bail and the bail fitting is painted rather than chrome plated. Plus, the red shade is wrong.

I was almost positive this wasn't the original paint. It's too glossy, wrong color, and as you mentioned the bail fitting is painted.
