We/I, get a lot of requests for schematics and parts lists for D.A.M. Quick reels.
I try to accommodate folks when asked — but it seems inefficient.
Better to have a section on the DQ site that lists all of the schematics.
Here is the question —
I scanned 40 pages of one of my DQ Parts and Service Manuals to my tech equipment.
What would be the most efficient way to post these so folks could access them easily?
I have an iPad Air, a MacBook Air, iPhone, etc.
Typically, I can only post (4) photos at one time — how to get around this so everything is in one place on our site?
Appreciate the help.
Best, Fred
Can you make them into pdf files ? Than post them and sticky it .
Could do that Joe —
If that is the most efficient way — it would work.
But I would like for folks to just click on a page without having to look through codes — or rename files, although I could.
Best, Fred
At this point, I have all 40 pages attached to an email —
If anyone wants this manual for their work and parts ID — just PM me with your personal email address — and I will send it to you.
These manuals are either a tough, or impossible find anywhere — for any price. You can find a schematic, or a few here and there. But they are fuzzy, and not clear.
You can print these out — then bind them together for reference, as you wish.
Best, Fred
I would like a copy Fred , Interested in what i can learn . Thank You . oldmanjoe@gmx.com .
Just sent to you, Joe.

I could use a copy Fred.
Struggling with a 330 tonight
Thanks

Just sent it to your Verizon email account, Steve —

Extremely generous on your part, Fred. I'll PM you. I have some of the schematics, but not all & it would help to have 'em all in one place.

Just sent it to your gmail account, Frank —

Already emailed 13 sets of these to members this afternoon.
However it works for you is good —
I have (5) factory service and parts manuals.
Just wanted to preserve them better — and also be able to lay them flat without getting grease all over the pages.
This is just what I put together, that will work pretty well for me, I believe.
Plastic clear sleeves, an old binder.
When you print them — change to a pdf — then scale the size to fit a 8.5 X 11 piece of paper — and that's it!
Best, Fred
Fred /everyone I figured out a way to put them all in one file and am working on it .Stay tuned
Here dey is in a zip file.
Thanks, Henry!
Great job!
This should help more than a few folks going forward with these DQ Reel schematics and parts lists.
Alan said there might be a little extra something for you in your paycheck at the end of the month...
All the best,
Fred
Fred, WampusCat,
Thanks so much for these! Please make them a stickie in the DQ section. Much clearer than others I found on the 'net.
I have an early 330 (4 body screws), later 330, and a 110 I picked up recently and will certainly make use of the schematics.
Thanks again and Happy New Year!
Kal

You copied my idea, Fred! ;D I've had my ABU Zebco & ABU Cardinal Schematics bound in plastic sleeves in a 3 ring binder for at least 10 years. It sure keeps them clean, legible & in good condition. 8)
Thank you guys!

Thanks Fred!!!

Thanks so much for these!
AND THANKS SANDBAR for labeling them properly!
Joe had asked for this information in PDF format.
I did a little work on it and added the 238, 248 and Super 275 Two Speed schematics, the converted them to PDF format in another Zip File.
I also did some straightening and cropping of the JPEG's to clean them up a bit before I converted them to PDF files.
In the PDF format you can open them up, click "Edit",
select " Take a Snapshot", then highlight and print the area you highlight. That way I get a much larger picture of the Schematic portion in landscape form.
It's much easier on these old eyes.
I've attached the two new zip files.
Thanks

And generous.
:) :) :) :) Thank you .. Steve
You are welcome Joe. 👍
First post on this site. What a great find today; got it from Erik @ CFdrag. Sure appreciate. I'm thinking about installing carbon drrag disks in my 1969 (or was it 1959?) Super. Lost the rod stand years ago, but made one when I lived in the Arctic. Looks weird--made from a 1/2x13 allen head SS bolt and a piece of SS tubing. The reel is as good as it ever was, maybe better! I'll attempt to attach a photo.
And Fred please send me that Quick DAM Sunam bonum. Sure great of you to do this; thanks.
Welcome aboard, alcesgigas —
The schematics are made available by Steve (sandbar) — about (5) post above this one.
You will see a couple of downloadable links.
* JPEG D.A.M. Quick Schematics 2021.zip (11912.92 KB - downloaded 48 times.)
* PDF D.A.M. Quick Schematics 2021.zip (11979.32 KB - downloaded 54 times.)
It looks like your 1959 era 270 Super will work OK with your great triage fix —
Not trying to sell anything — but if you would want a new housing, stand, cone screw, and bail spring to bring it back to original — I have a set. $25 + $5 shipping.
Best, Fred
Greetings, alcegigas, from Minnesota USA.
Frank
Thanks; I'm slowly getting into the site. I'd like to take you up on your offer of the parts. Please instruct? With the new case I won't have to clean off the epoxy I bedded the cone screw/1/2" nut gizmo. I have access to many things not available in Bettles and one of the things I've wanted to do for years is do the overdue maintenance on my pre-70 reels. Again, thanks for the info and I'll get after that tomorrow.
Thanks reel handy site!
Sounds like a good move, alcesgigas —
Just PM (Private Message — My Messages in the top tool bar) me with your full name and mailing information — and we will work out the details.
Best Always,
Fred

Here dey is in a zip file.
thanks Wompus and Fred..
in re monks and moderation, I have a quote from a monk on my blog,
The achievements of the worldly are failures for monks; and the achievements of monks are failures for the worldly.
St. Maximus
this is a comfort at times.. "I'm not a worldly failure, I'm extremely successful as a monk" ;-)
Is it just me or is a schematic for a 1202 not available? I've been looking for a while and I see there is one for the 1001-5001 series but there is not a column for the 1202 in the parts list. Am I looking at the wrong series?
I'm trying to figure out if the 1202 has a second drag under the petticoat spool.
-Mike
Yes, it has a very stiff and non-flexible underspool drag washer, Mike —
Here are some basic schematics and a parts list —
Also, have your Daiwa 750 spool — posted a response under the Daiwa Spinning section.
Best, Fred
Thank you Fred,
I think I'm missing the underspool drag washer. So that washer just sits on top of the clicker gear? I could tell the bottom of my spool was slightly textured and it seems inset just a little. I was assuming that there was a metal washer between the clicker gear and the drag washer, but it's just one hard drag washer? Do you have one of these?
Thanks
-Mike
Here it is, Mike —
And I'll also send you a new bite indicator flange — save your old one. These are a really neat feature on the 1202, 2002, and 3002.
N/C.
Best,
Fred
Thank you so much Fred! I just figured out how the Bite Indicator works. I was going to ask you if this is something I should keep a spare on hand.
-Mike
Happy Holidays Everyone
I just noticed that the Zip files of schematics that I had posted earlier in this thread had gone dead.
I was getting a 404 Error message.
Here they are again.
