Hello
I'm repairing a very abused Shimano Torsa 40.
All the bearings will be changed.
Unfortunately the one way bearing is in very bad shape It came apart, this part is not numbered in the schematic.
Can anyone help me with the pat number?
what is the height in mm? if the height is 12mm, then you likely have an EWC 1012..
let me know if you need help finding the bearing.
Thank you Alan
I really appreciate the help with the torsa 40 bearing problem l!!!
And thank you again for this amazing forum that is lots of help for many reels.
I'm starting to think this is not a one way bearing but only a needle roller bearing since the reel has a dog anti reverse system.
Could that be the case?
I just found an awesome bearing supplier on the web (Plaig Bearings) it has the Torsa 40 schematic with all the bearings marked.
Including the one is not marked by Shimano.
The bearing is according to the site is BNT2949.
All feedback is appreciated.
It is definitely a one way roller bearing with a leaf spring dog back up.
Thank you for the anti-reverse clarification
Now I'm in need of a new power handle for the same reel P/N TGT1207
But It seems to be discontinued.
Can anyone point to where I can get a economic replacement option
Well the bearing that the Plaig bearings webpages affirms to be the correct one ( BNT2949) is incorrect, I will fiit and probably it will work but it is way shorter than the torsa 40 original.
I will be trying the one you told me Alan(EWC 1012) .
thanks again
Hi
the EWC 1012 is the right size but the "teeth" are to wide for the side plate
other suggestions?
