Title: Help Me Troubleshoot My Penn Torque Star
Post by: lefty22 on April 24, 2021, 06:57:17 PM
Got a Penn Torque Star drag 25. Everything seems to be functioning correctly except one thing. When the reel is in gear and I reel it fast and stop, the spool keeps spinning with a loud clicking sound. I have changed out the versa gears a few times, so maybe I put something back backwards. Any feedback???

it's the way that the shoulders of the drive shaft are cut.  it's where the pinion gear engages the spool.  it's designed to do that so it's perfectly normal.   ;D

Many other reels do the same thing. The Penn Squall's I just finished do it also.
