Title: bail-less question:
Post by: philaroman on May 22, 2021, 12:45:20 PM
would self-centering A/R used in spinners w/ casting triggers, be beneficial for bail-less use?
you know, the one-tooth A/R cam that engages only when bail-head/trigger is under finger
would this feature be desirable for bail-less (never tried), OR is it not worth the sloppy back-play (up to 360*)?

I myself have never quite gotten used to the fact that the handle may spin back up to 359 degrees before the AR catches. But, that may just be me.

hate one-point A/R, as well -- replace it w/ standard cam/ratchet when compatible/available
(can center trigger, manually, or remove it if I know how much to shave the counterbalance)
stupid snaggletooth cams are piling up, and so are bail-heads w/ broken wires
hoped they could join forces to make something useful

I've never been a big fan of the self centering AR either...although I do fish one reel that uses it(Zebco Omega 940 XL)...and it really doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. 8)
