Title: Mak 16 reel clamp bolts
Post by: pjstevko on August 13, 2021, 03:23:26 PM
I leave for San Diego in a couple days and was just going over some of my gear and realized I never put the reel clamp on my new Mak 16. I took all the parts out of the box and went to install the clamp bolts and I can't for the life of me figure out how they stay secured. Usually bolts get inserted into the reel seat then you turn them so the flared ends sit up against the reel seat as you tighten the bolts but these don't work like that....

How do I install the bolts so I can use the clamp?

slide the bolts in from the bottom, then turn 90 degrees and shimmy them to the outside.  the nuts will be a little hard to install because of the blue loctite on the bolt.
