Depends on where you are, what is wrong and how much you can do yourself.

They are pretty easy to work on. Just take lots of pictures when taking it apart. Heavy corrosion is the worst thing I have found on heavily used Everol's. What is the problem with the reel ??    John Taylor

I'm having some issues with my 6/0 it needed a service and once it came back it wouldn't go into free spool . After taking it back the real got worse and the local shop said there's nothing they can do about it and gave it back to me.

As you can see in the pictures The clutch/drag lever is maxed out all.

So from what I'm seeing the clocking on the clutch race plate to the clutch/drag lever is wrong

I betting they didn't put the drag lever and it's parts together correctly.

IF it had Free Spool Before you sent it out then
Looks like you sent it the WRONG REEL SHOP.

Several here can get  right if you don't want to tear into it your self .
Just ask!

These Reels are pretty straight forward.
You can reset that drag lever without taking the side cover off. Just the transmission.
I can fix it for you, if you have no other options, and of Course if they didn't lose any parts.
I would also definitely be asking for a refund from the so called reel repair.
Unfortunately, I am headed to the panhandle the next two weeks, so It will have to wait until I return.

Yes, drag lever was installed 180 degrees off. Easily happens, and easily remedied.
1) slide the lever toward freespool.
2) unscrew the two screws holding the transmission case to the sideplate
3) slide / pull the transmission case straight out and off. Handle and everything comes with it.
4) might as well take the circlip off too
5) unscrew the drag lever, in a clockwise direction, and make note of at what point it came off
6) screw the drag lever in again, starting 180 degrees away from where it came off
7) slide drag lever towards freespool position
8 ) put everything back together again, in reverse order of how you took it apart. The antireverse dogs can be a little tricky maybe, but you will figure it out.

There you go...

I believe it's going to need more then the clutch lever spun . I tried it a few times and still having issues.

Otis dropped the reel off at my house a few days ago. I thought something was wrong with the drag stack. Tore it completely down.

Not a fan of that handle and its components. It has a little slop. Something I have never seen in an everol.
None of Mine have such a thing. The only thing I found was slightly bent tabs on the top drag washer.
Instead of bending them back, I just flipped it over.
Gears were bone dry.
I fiddled with the drag lever until I got it right. It was a pia, but I got it.
There is more to it than being 180 degrees out. The main shaft has to line up with the drag hex.
It is where in needs to be now, Freespool and max drag.

The Schematics and information on these reels are sketchy at best.
I do think they are the best there is for your type of fishing.
Just have to use a lttle ingenuity.
They are built one at a time.

Well done D!  ...As always
Not to mention, I know how much you charged... Not a dime!
Pay it forward, Otis and enjoy your reel. Now that a master has gone through it you can have confidence when you get the "ONE" one.
Best to yas,
Dom
