Post by: jgp12000 on July 22, 2022, 05:36:57 PM
I caught this bad boy this AM on bottom(big red wiggler) with my PENN greenie 716/ugly stik lite, I got from Fred.
he felt like a whale, by the way the new world record Redear is 6lbs 4 oz. I can't imagine, the guy said he thought he had a striper on...I stocked 100-ea  5 years ago, 25-ea 4 years ago, not sure what batch he's from but they getting fat !

Years ago my son caught a Bluegill weighing 3 1/4# and thought he had a 5# LMB until he landed it.

Wow! did you get it mounted? My largest BG 1lber got a picture somewhere on a 9 inch paper plate hanging off both sides.FYI,old  geezer told me the fins are what make big bream taste strong,I fillet all bream with my Uncle Henry steelhead fillet knife you can even fillet a small one, leave the ribs in and it's like a tater chip fillet.
