I recently bought a new to me ATD50w that was in need of lets say a little TLC. The main thing that it has lateral movement in the handle. I took it apart and the gear shaft bearings seem ok to me if not a little lose fitting in the side plate as in they just fall out. I would have thought they might be a bit tighter interface fit? Been onto the guys at accurate and Matt suggested fitting an extra teflon washer under handle. So I decided to order some parts up and sent an email but no response. So it looks like I'm on my own here with this reel. Any pointers would be very welcome indeed. I did try to upload a short video of the problem but I can't work out how to.
Post pics if you can. If you can measure ID and OD or get an idea, Mcmaster Carr likely has teflon that will fit, which would've been my suggestion to take out some slop.
Alan will likely have a much better idea, but at least get pics up if possible.

I pulled the side plate off and had a quick look at the bearings and they seem ok to me but it must be them as I can't think what else could be the problem. Any help at all would be very gratefully received.
