Title: Shimano TE400 drag question
Post by: FishingAddict on November 11, 2009, 09:22:49 PM
Alan,

I switched to Carbontex drags on my Calcutta TE 400 and noticed I can't fine tune the drag setting.  I can only button it tight.  I have 40Lb PowerPro loaded on it.
Can you please offer advice in getting a better range on the my drags.

Thanks!

is there any possibility that one of the original dartanium drag washers was left in the stack?

I am pretty sure its all new carbontex (greased w/ CAL's grease) in there.

Alan,

I opened the reel and applied more grease on all the Carbontex drags as you suggested, it made a difference.  I can get a better range now.  Thanks!!
