we would rarely use anything more than 4 ounces for inshore rockcod fishing, but they are very nice!!!!
We will make 2~4oz diamond jigs near future.
I did not know a lot of people looking for small jigs.
All of our jigs are 6oz and higher.. :-\

We have been having a lot of fun with 1 oz jigs lately. Who said that rock fish will not come up...
how do you rig 1o jig? asit hok or siwash?
It doesn't matter because the jig never gets near the bottom.
i rig all of mine with a 1/0 bronze mustad treble hook. the reason is that this hook will bend out when it's stuck on a rock. the smaller number 1 treble will break. the larger 2/0 is so strong that the spectra breaks. this combination has worked well for the fishing that i do!

Up in N.H. when we fish Cod I use 5/0 Owner or VMC Trebles on Jigs up to 21 oz. This get kind of expensive. S S Jigs are $25-30

Folks who fish partyboats for rockcod would use 6, 8, 10 oz. diamond jigs as they fish deeper waters.
For 4 oz or less, probably better to use other style jigs which have more flutter action than a diamond.

Here in the Gulf we would use the heavy jigs.
Right at this time we have the stripers and blues hitting the gold jigs. Hammered gold is doing pretty good. 6 oz. is a good size for PB fishing in NJ. 4 oz. IMO is ideal in most situations. Nice jigs and nice store.
